Let me give you my 2024 honest opinion. I will start out by saying that the staff was friendly and the location is nice. Here is a list of all of what you will need prior to Clean your room before sleeping. Lysol spray, Clorox Bleach,Raid roach spray,Spic and Span, Mop,Broom, dustpan, Scrub brush, Paper towels and trash bags because you're going to need everything. One more thing bring pots,pans bowls,plates and silverware also a taser or weapon for your protection. During the night you may hear some activity but for the most you will get some sleep.

this place is absolute filth, prositutes walking around and men coming and going from rooms. obvious drug abuse, rooms are filthy and in steep decline. more of cheap housing seems like some people live here long term very strong homeless presense all around .

First off, I felt unsafe and that my car might be vandalized. With the exception of checking out, I find the staff to be extraordinarily rude. Before you think I'm Karening, I came to check in at 2:15 (admittedly my fault for not knowing the time or that check in was at 3:00). After waiting about 5 minutes while two staff members argued in the back room, the woman came out and when I said I was there to check in, she angry-sarcastically asked "Did someone tell you to come in here because check in is at 3. Is it 3? No, it's not". When I asked if there was something close that I could do for 40 minutes she just said no. When I asked if there was a place nearby to eat she said no, but you can drive around to find something. When I opened my room, the smell hit me like a physical blow. I wish I could photograph a smell!!! The last person must have been there a long, long time (in guessing many months) and chain smoked in it the entire time. My asthma was instantly flared (didn't have my inhaler with me, which made it worse). I immediately went back and said the room is so smoky and she said she knew and that's why I didn't get charged a deposit but there were no other rooms. I immediately went to buy cleaning supplies and air fresheners. I spent hours washing down all surfaces and walls and floor. It never really made a dent in m how bad the room reeked. I put several air fresheners on the air unit to help more. It didn't. The room was filthy. Two of the three entry door locks were broken and the door jamb was broken, like someone had kicked the door in at one point. The outside of the refrigerator was beyond nasty. The back of the toilet didn't have the right lid. The mirror was not above the sink but to the side so you had to stand against the toilet to see yourself to get ready in the morning. The bathtub didn't hold water for a bath so I had to cut off part of a bread wrapper and hold it with my heel. The toilet paper holder was loose in the wall and the toilet paper fell off every time. The toilet paper roll was almost empty on my arrival (it had 9 squares left). I was there for 8 days and never once got new towels or wash cloth. One washcloth, one hand towel and one towel was all I ever had. They also never took the trash out. The groceries I put in the refrigerator on day one froze overnight, completely ruining two crispers full of salad, fruits and veggies. The bed was like sleeping on a board. It was difficult to even get comfortable enough to fall asleep and I was in extreme pain every morning when I woke up. The pillows were comfortable, but that's it. I'm pretty sure the bedding came from the Dollar Store (if so, they over paid). There were no hangers in the closet at all. There's also no dresser, just two shelves. There was a full kitchenette but no toaster, stove, silverware, plates, bowls or glasses. I had to go buy them all for my 8 day stay. I think the pictures tell a better story of this nightmare. Btw, I travel a LOT and never stay at 5-star hotels. You can see that I rarely leave hotel reviews so that should tell you how awful this was. Something has to be truly horrendous for me to leave a review.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed anywhere in the US. The place was decrepit and unsafe. You advertise the rooms in the Red Roof website as follows: “completely renovated, spacious rooms feature comfortable, brand new bedding and modern upgrades.” Well, that’s completely misleading! The rooms are far from being renovated. The rooms are extremely run down, worn out and neglected! For example: a rusted refrigerator, a missing microwave, an air conditioner falling apart, a bed cover with cigarette burns, etc. There wasn’t even a mirror in the bathroom. One of the rooms next to me had a broken window and it was in complete disarray. I cleaned and disinfected the room after moving in and the cleaning cloth was black after wiping the furniture. In addition, the place didn’t feel safe at all with people hanging around day and night. I never saw private security on the premises. I witnessed drug deals from my window. I had the police knock my door searching for someone. In short, my stay at HomeTowne was a nightmare. Normally, I would have walked away after the first night but at this time of a pandemic I stayed put to avoid further exposure to the virus my moving around.

The bathroom is molded. There are major gaps in the shower needing caulk and major tub floor stains. The sink was splattered with cigarette marks and paint. The table in the room was full of marks and did not look clean. Lastly, the room wreaked of cigarette smoke. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially, couples or families. Please steer clear! Pay a few dollars more and sleep in a sanitary safe place!
